CLISE App Privacy Policy

Publication date: April 2026

Last updated: 12 October 2026

For personal information processing that relies on your consent, this revision takes effect after the updated policy has been presented to you and we have obtained your express consent.

Shenzhen Guanting Technology Co., Ltd. (深圳市冠听科技有限公司), the operator of the CLISE App (冠听), places a high priority on protecting and managing users' personal information. Our registered address is Room 1321, Guoxin Investment Building, No. 07 Gaoxin South 7th Road, Gaoxinqu Community, Yuehai Subdistrict, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. This policy explains how we process personal information when providing our products and services, the security measures we take, and your rights. We carry out these activities in accordance with applicable national laws and regulations.

This policy applies only to CLISE App services provided within the People's Republic of China, excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Services used outside this territory and their privacy rules are governed separately by the relevant operators and are outside the scope of this policy. Personal information in this policy means information that can identify a natural person as defined by law. Our collection, use, storage and transmission of information throughout the service are subject to legal regulation and user oversight.

Please read and understand this policy before using the CLISE App. Our privacy notice provides clear options to accept or refuse. We start personal information collection, business network requests and relevant third-party SDKs that rely on your consent only after you actively select a button that expressly indicates consent, such as "Agree and Continue." Opening the App, reading this policy, remaining silent or continuing to use the App does not constitute consent. Features that process sensitive personal information still require your separate consent for the relevant scenario.

1 Collection and Use of Personal Information

We collect information to keep our services operating properly, improve product features and enhance the user experience. All collection follows the principles of lawfulness, reasonableness and necessity. We do not collect personal information unrelated to our services. Information primarily comes from information you provide, information automatically obtained during service use, and information lawfully provided by legitimate partners.

Our services include basic and additional services, depending on the use scenario. Basic services are core App functions; refusing to provide the relevant information will prevent those services from operating properly. Additional services are optional, and you may choose whether to provide information for them. Not using additional services does not affect basic functions. Headphone connection, device management and sound effects adjustment, including EQ, are basic services. AI conversations, machine translation and other intelligent voice features are additional services and require separate authorization on the relevant feature page before use.

Account Registration Information

When registering as a CLISE user, you must provide account information, including a nickname, mobile phone number and email address, which is required to create an account. Gender, date of birth, and country or region are supplementary information that you may provide voluntarily. Leaving these fields blank does not prevent registration.

Information Collected During Service Use

When you use CLISE App features, we collect information according to the needs of the relevant feature:

We obtain your device's system language to display policy content and feature instructions that match that language.

To connect the App to Bluetooth headphones, adjust their functions and manage devices, we collect the headphones' Bluetooth address, product serial number and firmware version. Location information is also needed to search for and pair with nearby devices.

To register products, verify identity and handle after-sales issues, we collect information such as your name, contact details and product serial number to ensure accurate service coordination.

If you voluntarily participate in a survey, we collect the personal information, device information and feedback you enter to understand your experience and improve service quality.

To follow up on feedback and handle service requests, we retain communication records and related information and respond through the contact details you provide.

We use the mobile phone number and email address you provide during registration to send service notices, product updates and feature promotions.

To provide AI conversations, we process voice information (audio) you input through the headphone or phone microphone, text produced by speech recognition, conversation content you submit to the AI, AI-generated responses, and context necessary to maintain continuity across multiple conversation turns. This information is used only for recognition and response generation in the current conversation.

To provide machine translation, we process the voice or text you submit for translation, the translated text, and your selected source and target languages. This information is used only to generate the current translation result.

To distribute and update on-device speech processing capabilities, we may obtain information such as your device model, operating system version and processor architecture to identify and download offline speech recognition and translation model packages suitable for your device.

After you consent to this policy and use the relevant services, we collect necessary technical information such as device model, operating system version, network type, client version, IP address and service call logs (including call time, result and error code) to keep AI conversation and translation services stable, troubleshoot faults, manage usage quotas and prevent abusive calls. The purposes, methods, scope and retention period for IP addresses are described below under "IP Addresses and Network Connection Information." When you actively submit feedback or upload diagnostic logs, the logs may contain device status, service requests and operation records relevant to troubleshooting. Please check their contents before uploading them.

To fulfill network content safety obligations under laws and regulations, we perform necessary safety checks and filtering on your inputs and AI-generated responses. This may involve temporarily processing the relevant content, which is not retained after processing is completed.

In addition to information that can identify you, we collect data such as page visits, time spent and user actions to analyze service operation and improve product design. Such data is not directly associated with an individual's identity. If it is combined with personal information, it is handled under the rules for personal information protection.

IP Addresses and Network Connection Information

Purposes: Account login, device activation and identity verification, online AI and translation services, resource downloads, and other network features you use require requests to the relevant services. The relevant servers or technical service providers obtain the source IP address of these requests to maintain connections, improve domain name resolution reliability, protect service security and troubleshoot connection problems. We do not use this information for advertising tracking or user profiling unrelated to these purposes.

Methods and timing: After you expressly consent to this policy, IP addresses are obtained automatically through network requests generated when you use the relevant services. Where HTTPDNS is enabled, the SDK processes this information through domain name resolution requests. Business requests, automatic log uploads, firmware result reporting retries, HTTPDNS and diagnostic services involving network information do not start automatically before you consent or if you refuse this policy. You can read this policy offline before consenting.

Scope and frequency: Processing is limited to the source IPv4 or IPv6 address of a network request and the network type, connection status, request time, request result and error information necessary for the specific service. Processing occurs only during the use of that service, necessary connection maintenance or fault diagnosis, and only as frequently as the feature requires. Network diagnostics in the production App do not actively record DNS server IP addresses or resolved proxy IP addresses. The source IP address received by a server may be your network's public egress address.

Recipients and retention: CLISE servers process IP addresses only as needed to provide the services and security diagnostics described above. Section 3 identifies relevant SDK recipients, purposes and information categories. Access logs on CLISE servers that contain IP addresses are retained for 7 days, after which they are deleted or anonymized. For information processed independently by a third party, its privacy policy describes retention periods and how to exercise your rights. Processing entrusted by us is subject to the entrusted purpose, the shortest necessary retention period and the relevant agreements.

Your choices: You may refuse or withdraw consent. We will then stop the IP address processing and network services that rely on that consent, and some network-dependent features may become unavailable. Refusal is not automatically treated as authorization. We must obtain your express consent again before restarting the relevant processing.

Device Permissions

The App requests certain device permissions to support its features. You can control whether these permissions are enabled:

Bluetooth: Bluetooth permission is required for core functions such as headphone connection and device control. Disabling it prevents use of those core services. AI conversations also require permissions related to Bluetooth connections and audio routing, such as Bluetooth device connection and audio settings permissions, to switch between the headphones' call voice channel and media audio channel for outgoing voice and incoming spoken responses.

Microphone (recording): We request this permission only when you actively use a feature that requires voice input, such as AI conversations, voice translation or real-time audio and video transmission. It captures voice input through the headphone or phone microphone. We collect voice only while you have actively triggered the relevant feature and are speaking. We do not continuously record in the background or access the microphone when you are not using a relevant feature. Disabling this permission does not affect basic functions such as headphone connection or sound effects adjustment, but prevents use of features requiring voice input.

Camera: We request this permission only when you need to take and upload photos. You can disable it in your device settings at any time.

Photo library: We request this permission only when you need to upload local images or files. Disabling it does not affect other features.

Storage: We request this permission only when you download offline speech model packages or need to cache AI audio responses, so that the App can read and write the relevant local files.

AI Conversation and Translation Features

The following information explains how personal information is processed for AI conversation and machine translation features:

1. Processing methods. AI conversation and machine translation combine on-device processing with server-side processing:

(1) On-device processing: Steps such as speech recognition (speech-to-text) may take place locally on your device or headphones. In these cases, the original voice audio does not leave your device and we do not collect that audio.

(2) Server-side processing: Semantic understanding and content generation for AI conversations, speech synthesis, and speech recognition or machine translation in some scenarios require recognized text, or voice audio in certain scenarios, to be sent to our servers or to third-party technical service providers entrusted by us. Results are returned to your device.

(3) The processing method used for a particular feature or session depends on your device model, feature version, language and network conditions. We explain the method on the relevant feature page or in updates to this policy.

2. Voice information. Voice information may contain voiceprint elements that reflect physiological characteristics and is sensitive personal information. We process it only as necessary to provide these features, protect it through encrypted transmission such as HTTPS/TLS, and strictly limit internal access. Before you first use a feature that collects voice, we separately inform you of the purposes, methods, information categories and retention period through a prominent notice, such as a pop-up or separate checkbox, and obtain your separate consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time, after which we stop processing the relevant voice information.

3. Real-time processing without storage. Voice audio, speech recognition text, conversation content and translation content generated during AI conversations or voice translation are processed only in real time for the current service, including necessary transmission, recognition, generation and synthesis, to generate and return the current result. After processing is completed, we do not store your original voice audio, conversation text or translation text on our servers. If you need to retain this content, it is stored only locally on your device. You can delete it using the App's clearing functions or by uninstalling the App.

4. Third-party processing. We may entrust third-party large language model or speech technology providers to process this text or audio. Our contracts require partners to process the information only for the purposes and within the scope we entrust, prohibit use for their own product promotion or model training and improvement, prohibit disclosure to other third parties, and impose corresponding security obligations. The providers, purposes and information categories are described under "Third Party SDKs" in Section 3.

5. Important information. When using AI conversation or translation features, avoid entering sensitive personal information such as identity document numbers, bank account details, payment passwords, SMS verification codes, health information or movement history, as well as other people's personal information. AI responses are generated automatically by algorithmic models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable or different from your expectations. Translation results may also vary because of language usage, terminology, accent and background noise. These results do not constitute our opinions, advice or commitments. Please verify them before use. Do not use these features for situations requiring strict accuracy, such as medical diagnosis, legal advice or signing contracts.

6. Your choices. You may refuse microphone permission, disable it in your device settings at any time, or stop using AI conversation and translation features in the App. This does not affect basic functions such as headphone connection, device management or sound effects adjustment.

2 Local Storage Technologies

We use local storage, cookies and related technologies to record login status, preferences and feature settings, reduce repeated actions and make services easier to use. These technologies are used only to improve our services and not to unlawfully obtain user information.

For AI conversation and translation features, we may cache offline speech recognition models, offline translation models and records you actively save on your device to improve response speed and reduce network dependence. These local data are stored on your device. You can delete them using the App's cache clearing or record clearing functions, or by uninstalling the App. The relevant local data are deleted when the App is uninstalled.

You can adjust device settings to manage local storage technologies according to your needs. Disabling them may prevent some dependent features from operating properly.

3 Sharing Transfer and Disclosure of Personal Information

Sharing

We do not proactively share users' personal information with third parties. Sharing is limited to lawful circumstances: requirements of laws and regulations, lawful requests from administrative or judicial authorities, your express authorization, providing necessary information to service partners to meet your needs, or sharing information necessary for services with affiliated companies. Partners may use information only within the authorized scope and not for other purposes.

To provide AI conversations, speech recognition, speech synthesis and machine translation, we provide only the minimum necessary information, such as recognized text or voice audio in certain scenarios, to third-party technical service providers entrusted by us. They process it according to our instructions. Contracts restrict partners' purposes, methods, retention periods and security obligations and prohibit use for model training or any other purpose. We identify the partner, purpose and information categories on the relevant feature page and obtain your separate consent before voice information is first processed.

Transfer

As a general rule, we do not transfer personal information. If a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy liquidation or similar event involves a transfer, we require the recipient to continue protecting information under this policy or to obtain your authorization again.

Disclosure

We do not publicly disclose personal information unless we obtain your express consent or disclosure is required by laws and regulations.

Legally Permitted Exceptions

We process personal information on the relevant lawful basis only in the circumstances and within the scope permitted by laws and regulations. Lawfully public information is still processed only within a reasonable scope. De-identified information remains subject to personal information protection requirements if it can still be associated with an individual. Only information that has been anonymized so that a particular individual cannot be identified and the information cannot be restored is outside the definition of personal information.

Third Party SDKs

We manage the third-party SDKs integrated into the App. SDKs that process IP addresses or other personal information are enabled only after you expressly consent to this policy and only in scenarios necessary for the relevant business feature. Background operation or an idle state does not constitute additional authorization or permit an expansion of collection scope or frequency. We restrict processing through initialization timing, feature invocation controls and necessary technical measures, and disclose the developer, purposes, information categories and privacy policy.

Volcengine Real-Time Audio and Video SDK (veRTC; Android package com.ss.bytertc.engine). The developer is Beijing Volcengine Technology Co., Ltd. (北京火山引擎科技有限公司). The SDK establishes and maintains audio and video calls, transmits media in real time and supports call quality. It is invoked only after you consent to this policy and actively use the relevant feature. Through SDK interfaces and network communications, it automatically processes the IP addresses, device information and network information needed for that feature. Device identifiers, such as IMEI, Android ID and MAC address, and accelerometer information are processed only to the extent necessary for the current SDK version and enabled features and within your authorized scope. Accelerometer information is used to adapt video orientation. Privacy policy: https://docs.volcengine.com/docs/real_time_communication/veRTCSDKPrivacyPolicy

Volcengine HTTPDNS SDK (Android package com.bytedancehttpdns.httpdns). The developer is Beijing Volcengine Technology Co., Ltd. (北京火山引擎科技有限公司). The SDK resolves service domain names to improve resolution reliability, reduce the risk of domain hijacking and maintain stable connections. It automatically obtains the source IP address and domain name to be resolved through domain resolution and necessary resolution refresh requests. It is enabled only after you consent to this policy; it is not initialized early merely because the App is first launched or a privacy notice is displayed. Processing scope and frequency are limited to what the relevant network feature needs. Privacy policy: https://www.volcengine.com/docs/6758/130457. Contact: service@volcengine.cn.

4 Storage of Personal Information

We comply with legal requirements by storing all users' personal information collected within mainland China in mainland China. We do not transfer its storage overseas without authorization. If cross-border transmission is necessary for business purposes, we complete security assessments, filings and other compliance procedures required by law.

Personal information is retained for the shortest period required to fulfill the service purpose and comply with law. At the end of that period, we delete or anonymize it. If technical limitations prevent immediate deletion, or the law requires continued retention, we stop other processing and retain the information only for secure storage and protection.

For AI conversation and translation features, voice audio, speech recognition text, conversation content and translation content are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers. Data produced through on-device processing are stored only locally on your device. Technical service call logs, which do not contain voice or conversation content, and safety check records are retained for the shortest period required by laws and regulations and are then deleted or anonymized. Because conversation records are not retained on our servers, you may be unable to review historical conversations across devices. Please save any records you need locally.

IP addresses and logs: Access logs on CLISE servers that contain IP addresses are retained for 7 days and are then deleted or anonymized. Local App diagnostic logs are managed separately from server access logs. Local logs are governed by the App's log retention settings and clearing functions; saving a local log does not automatically upload it. Logs are uploaded only after you consent, as needed for the relevant service or in response to an action you initiate.

5 Security of Personal Information

We protect users' information through technical, organizational and personnel measures. We use encrypted storage, access controls and security audits to prevent unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We review partners' security arrangements and specify information protection responsibilities in contracts. We provide regular privacy protection training to employees.

We protect voice audio and conversation text through transport encryption and apply least-privilege access management and access auditing to server-side processing. For voice data processed locally on your device or headphones, we recommend keeping the device secure and setting a lock-screen password to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to local data.

The internet involves unpredictable risks, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmission. We nevertheless make every effort to fulfill our protection obligations. If information is leaked, damaged, lost or otherwise affected by a security incident, we immediately initiate emergency procedures, notify users promptly as required by law, and report the response to regulators.

Please keep your account and password secure to avoid disclosure caused by inadequate protection. If you discover unusual account activity or an information leak, contact us immediately through our official email address.

6 Your Rights Regarding Personal Information

You have rights to manage your personal information under the law and can request to exercise them through App functions or our official email address. After verifying your identity, we respond and handle your request within 7 working days:

Access, correct and supplement personal information to ensure its accuracy.

Delete personal information. We process requests promptly when the conditions required by law are met.

Withdraw consent: Open "Privacy Policy" from "Me / Profile," select "Withdraw Privacy Policy Consent" and confirm. We clear the consent record for the current version, stop diagnostic collection and reporting that rely on that consent, and close the current App session to end ongoing business processes and SDK activity. We request your consent again when you next open the App. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out on the basis of consent before withdrawal. Information that must be retained by law is used only for the relevant statutory purposes. You can also disable the relevant device permissions in system settings.

Obtain a copy of personal information by requesting an export of information relating to you.

Request account deletion. After deleting your account, we stop providing services and delete or anonymize information as required.

For AI conversation and translation features, you can disable microphone permission in device settings, stop using the relevant feature in the App, or withdraw separate consent to voice information processing at any time. We then stop processing your voice information. You can also delete cached offline models and records locally. Because these features do not retain voice or conversation content on the server, related access and deletion requests primarily concern your account information and local device data.

We will decline requests in legally prescribed circumstances involving national security, public interests, criminal investigations, trade secrets or malicious abuse of rights. Reasonable requests are free of charge. Repeated or excessive requests may incur a reasonable charge to cover costs.

7 Cross Border Transfers of Personal Information

As a general rule, information relating to users in mainland China is collected, processed and stored there. Where cross-border transmission is necessary for business purposes, we follow legal requirements for data export security assessments, standard contracts, filings and certifications, and protect users' information rights throughout the process.

If AI conversation or translation processing involves overseas service providers, we first assess its necessity and complete data export security assessments, standard contracts and filings in accordance with applicable legal requirements before proceeding. Before processing, we prominently inform you of the overseas recipient's name and contact details, purposes and information categories, and obtain your separate consent. You may refuse without affecting your use of other features.

8 Protection of Minors

CLISE App products and services are not marketed to minors, and we do not proactively collect or use minors' personal information. If a guardian discovers that a minor has used a service without permission and submitted information, the guardian can contact us through our official email address. We will immediately delete the relevant information and terminate the corresponding service.

AI conversation and machine translation involve voice information processing and open-domain content generation and are not recommended for minors. Guardians should keep devices and accounts secure, guide and supervise minors to avoid using these features, or prevent them from entering personal information through them. If we discover that a minor's voice or conversation information has been collected without guardian consent, we promptly delete it as required by law.

9 Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy because of changes in laws and regulations, service upgrades or technical developments and provide the updated text for you to read. For significant changes to purposes, methods, scope, recipients or other aspects of personal information processing, we notify you through a pop-up or similar method and obtain your express consent again before the relevant processing begins. Continued use, preselected checkboxes or silence do not constitute consent to an update.

This revision adds rules for IP address processing, network diagnostics and the HTTPDNS SDK, and clarifies consent and withdrawal. If you upgrade the App, your prior consent to the earlier policy does not automatically authorize the processing added or adjusted by this revision. We present the revised content and request your consent again.

10 Contact Us

If you have questions or suggestions about this policy, wish to exercise personal information rights, or need to make a complaint or report, email guanting@clise.cn or call our customer service hotline at 400-960-9601. We respond promptly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

11 Account Deletion Procedure

Open the App, sign in to the account you want to delete, go to the personal information section, locate the account deletion button and confirm. Deleting your account may result in losing data and services associated with the App. Please consider this carefully before proceeding.
